Derek is a member of the Cortland UMC congregation.  He is currently a student at Northeastern Seminary in Rochester, NY.  He is working on his second unit of Clinical Pastoral Education in Buffalo, NY.  His parents are Bob and Linda, and his brothers are Justin and Shane.   When not attending classes or participating in various ministries, Derek will most likely be found working at Doug's Fish Fry.  In his free time he studies a variety of languages.
